Us, 2019; site-based wall-drawing, approx 34’ wide, 18’ high, powdered pigment, acrylic and organza on site wall

The impetus for the drawing came from seeing a group of mothers and their children heading into a local pool for a ‘mother and tot’ swim. At the same time, there were almost-daily reports of boats going down in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas full of people fleeing war, climate change and hunger. The drawing depicts two groups of women and children. One group stands by calm, pale-blue water, the other by a darker sea. A ‘river of life’ runs behind the figures.
